Blondin Linden Office Hours becomes Adult Content User Group

The always-exciting weekly OH meetings (Office Hour meetings) of Blondin Linden have been expanded and renamed the Adult Content User Group, which covers Zindra topics as well as general adult content topics. This means many new faces and an exciting direction. The meetinsg are still on Mondays at 11AM SLT in the region of Bronlen. I've written some helpful tips and guidelines about how the Adult Content User Group meetings run and how to get involved. Not so much rules, but more suggestions for better meetings.

Eye On Zindra: Featured Photographer Program

We have started a new program, the Eye On Zindra featured Photographer Program, where a SL photographer will be chosen every 3 months, to take a series of artistic photographs of Zindra. Photographers will be asked from all over Second Life for this exciting program, and the resulting images will be 'mixed in' to the Exploring Zindra Flickr pool, featured on the Eye On Zindra website, and lead to inworld exhibits! I'm very excited that the response to our first open call has been fantastic and we are choosing the first photographer now. Stay tuned! (if you want to get involved in the review process, please join our Exploring Flickr team)

Four Corners Of Zindra: a new direction to help the adult continent of Second Life

The Four Corners Of Zindra proposal outlines has been approved as a guiding plan to create a growth-oriented foundation for more usability for residents, visitors and new arrivals to Zindra, Second Life's adult continent. The 'Four Corners' are:
1. Zindra Quick Start: a first point of entry for many new arrivals, with age verify and Zindra information
2. Zindra Help Vortex: sandbox, mentors and more. A very dynamic one-stop help center.
3. ZEXPO Island: home of our large seasonal events, designed to expand outreach and build PR
4. Zindra Promenade: for 'smaller' events and exhibitions, designed to nurture relationships within and outside of Zindra

I encourage everyone to read the full Four Corners Of Zindra proposal to understand this overall direction. This is certainly not everything that can be done, but it's a basic foundation. I expect that each of the 4 areas will be slowly developed in the following months to become a solid system that brings new people to Zindra and encourages them to stay and invest in the future!

Brainstorming Teams: How They Can Help Zindra

Wrote a brief article of how to start and manage brainstorming teams and sessions, as I think this is a great way to inspire people and get new ideas flowing. In the Zindra Expo group, we've started a few of these teams with fabulous results. The Exploring Flickr team already came up with many ideas that became proposals (the slideshow kiosks and Eye On Zindra photographer project, for example)....the Zindra Mentor team was responsible for the now-developing Zindra Help Vortex.....the Zindra PR team is quite new but is behind the recent updates of the Zindra wiki. Brainstorming teams work and can get results! Read about Brainstorming Teams here!

Art Maze 2011 in Second Life Review

Art Maze 2011 was a pivotal event on Zindra, the 'adult continent' of Second Life. 32 of SL's greatest artists, builders and architects collaborated on a giant labyrinth of creativity on ZEXPO Island, as part of Zindra's new Seasonal Events Campaign. The event/exhibition was produced by The Zindra Expo Group (producer Ginette Pinazzo and a great team of professional members).

The press has been wonderful and the beautiful imagery the show generated can be seen in countless photographs and videos. The impact on Zindra's PR, the outreach to the creative arts communities and overall spirit of Zindra's development has been positively affected. For now, here is are links to some fo the press we've uncovered:
